Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive is seeking an experienced SAP Finance Senior Technology Associate to support and develop SAP Finance applications (GL, AR, AP, Asset Accounting, Banking). The role involves collaborating with business and IT teams, delivering projects, and ensuring critical processes run smoothly.

With expertise in SAP Finance, ABAP debugging, and S/4 HANA, you will contribute to analytics, automation, and process improvements while mentoring junior developers and ensuring robust governance

Qualifications

• Any Bachelor’s Degree (Commerce graduates preferred) or postgraduate qualifications such as CA, ICWA/CMA.
• Sound knowledge in General accounting, Accounts Receivable, SAP Banking, Asset accounting, and related processes.
• Strong oral & written communication skills.
• Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems logically.
• Ability to seek and identify root cause.
• adaptable to new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Applying SAP Finance applications knowledge across General Accounting, Bank Accounting, AR/AP, Asset Accounting, integration with SD & MM.
• Utilizing ABAP debugging and Report Painter knowledge as an added advantage.
• S/4 HANA experience would be an added advantage.
• Exposure in Finance analytics, automation or AI would be an added advantage.
• Process knowledge of manufacturing/consumer goods industry preferred.
• Delivering day-to-day application support, including 24x7 emergency response.
• Managing and performing design, configuration, and testing of SAP and other applications for projects, upgrades, implementations, and rollouts.
• Maintaining high standards of system performance and reliability; following procedures and root-cause analysis.
• Enforcing global governance and proper documentation.
• Engaging with business teams to gather requirements and recommend optimal solutions.
• Drafting functional specifications for developers to support custom developments.
• Staying updated with SAP technologies and self-learning.
• Mentoring and coaching junior developers.

Brief introduction - Role Summary/Purpose:

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced person with 5 Years in SAP Finance Senior Technology Associate role to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for business facing support & development for various applications in SAP Finance - GL, AR, AP , Asset accounting, Banking
• The role requires the person to learn business processes within the function, contribute to execution of different projects activities and ensure the smooth execution of critical business processes.
• The person will be required to collaborate with business teams / technical teams and IT counterparts for daily support incidents and project activities in different business areas across all geographies.
• Ability to understand the requirements related to business problems , project deliverables and deliver the proposed solution

Required Qualifications :

• Any Bachelor’s Degree( Commerce graduates preferred),any post graduate, CA, ICWA/CMA
• Sound knowledge any one area in General accounting, Accounts Receivable, SAP Banking, Asset accounting, Business process knowledge in Customer invoice , Vendor Invoice, Payment, bank reconciliation, Month end close process
• Strong oral & written communication skills
• Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems logically
• Ability to seek and identify root cause
• Should be flexible and adaptable to new technologies

Preferred Qualifications :

• Working in the SAP S/4 Hana environment.
• Participated in any one ECC/S4 project implementation or rollouts.
