Job summary

Delta Air Lines, through the Delta Technology Hub in Bangalore, seeks a Senior Technical Specialist to partner with the Material Planning analytics and reporting team on dashboards, reports and department tools.

You will migrate SQL to Python, build Power BI and Power Apps dashboards, document in GitHub, and collaborate with project managers while ensuring timely delivery and quality.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial engineering, CS, CE or equivalent.
• 6–10 years of analytics and coding experience.
• Airline industry knowledge.
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office for daily operations.
• SQL and Python programming experience.
• Power BI and Power Apps for dashboards.
• Experience with AWS and Teradata migration.

How You'll Help Us Keep Climbing (Overview & Key Responsibilities)

Senior Technical Specialist – work hand in hand with the Material Planning analytics and reporting team on developing, maintaining, and enhancing dashboards, reporting, and department analytical tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, enhance, and develop new reports and dashboards.
• Conduct code audits to optimize existing coding logic.
• Migrate SQL program codes to Python coding structure.
• Develop interactive dashboards using Power BI and Power Apps.
• Collaborate with Project Managers in the Analytics and Reporting team within the Material Planning Department.
• Document coding structures in GitHub and create technical SOPs for existing and new tools.
• Test dashboards, reports, and coding logic prior to production deployment.
• Ensure clear communication of project timelines, milestones, and breakdowns.

What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

• Industrial engineering, computer science, computer engineering degree or equivalent.
• 6-10 years of relevant work experience relative to analytics and coding
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the airline industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office for daily operations.
• Programming Expertise: Experience in SQL coding and Python coding, as our current reporting is in SQL and will transition to Python.
• Data Visualization: Knowledge of Power BI and Power Apps to build and maintain user dashboards.
• Cloud Platform Experience: Experience with AWS, as our servers are migrating from Teradata to AWS.
