Job summary

SonicWall is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager for Software and Hardware based in Pune, India. You will lead globally distributed teams across Product Management, Software, Hardware, QA, Sales, and Marketing to plan, execute, and launch security products.

Manage lifecycle from concept to launch with schedule, budget, and quality controls. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in product development, 5+ years in program management, and strong Jira/Confluence experience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years minimum experience in manufacturing and/ or technical product development.
• 5+ years of Project and Program Management experience with complex software and hardware programs spanning multiple development teams.
• Proficiency with project management and product development tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Agile PLM, and MS Project/Smartsheets.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and launch new SonicWall software and network security products.
• Manage product lifecycle from concept to market launch while maintaining schedules, budget, scope and quality.

The Senior Technical Program Manager will work with globally distributed cross-functional teams of Product Management, Software, Hardware, QA, Sales, Marketing, and others to plan, execute, and launch new SonicWall software and network security products. You are responsible for managing the product lifecycle from concept to market launch while maintaining program schedules, budget, scope, and quality. This includes working with external labs and internal teams to achieve regulatory and other government/security certifications. This position reports to the Director of Program Management and is located in Pune, India.

• Deep experience leading cross-functional teamsacross multiple time zonesto achieve results byidentifyingand aligning to shared goalsandpriorities. Able to hold peers, partners, and yourself accountable.
• Skill in coordinating the work of multiple projects and development teams, successfully managing interdependencies between teams, to successfullydelivercoordinated software releases.
• Strong interpersonal skills, conflict resolution skills,andtheabilitytobuildrelationships and partnershipswith peopleof all levels and functionsacross the companyto achieve common goals.
• Presentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate program status tomultiple levels within the company, including senior leadership.
• Expertisein working with both Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies
• An understanding ofnetwork securityproducts,supplychain,manufacturing,andhardwaredevelopment methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to lead teams to solve complex technical and business problems.
• Involvementwiththird party contracts and management ofoutsourced activities/ deliveriesto meet projecttimelines.
• The ability to influence key partners, senior leaders, and external partners.
• Experienceestablishingrepeatable processes tooptimizethedelivery offutureproducts.
• The desire to drive continuous improvement and lead change within a product development organization.

What You Bring:

• 10+ years minimum experience in manufacturingand/ortechnicalproduct development
• 5+ years of Project and Program Management experience with complex softwareand hardwareprograms spanning multiple development teams
• Proficiencywithproject management andproductdevelopment toolssuch asJIRA, Confluence, Agile PLM, and MS Project/Smartsheets
• BA/BS degreein a technical disciplineor equivalent practical experience.

You have an advantage if youpossess:

• Experience leading the development of SaaS / Cloud software products
• Expertiseworking on new product introductions with manufacturers, suppliers, and product development teams.
• Previous successful certification of network security products to FIPS, Common Criteria, DoDIN and/or CSfC standards
• PMP Certification
