Overview

The Transaction Security team develops new products for Mastercard\'s fraud prevention platform. We protect cardholders and card issuers and aim to eradicate credit card fraud. Our platform processes billions of transactions per month with industry-leading performance. The Software Engineer will play a critical role in creating new product functionality within this platform, including world-class backend and consumer-facing features.

Role

• Act as Technical Program Manager for managing new product development
• Act as Scrum Master / SAFe agilest and drive all ceremonies
• Guide, mentor & coach the team(s) on Agile Scrum, SAFe and XP principles
• Remove impediments with the right sense of urgency, or guide teams in doing so
• Build a trusting and safe environment for the team where problems are discussed without fear of blame, retribution, or judgment, with emphasis on healing and problem solving
• Coordinate with various groups in Mastercard across locations to ensure project success
• Maintain awareness of what is being delivered by the team and why, and the big program picture
• Maintain, radiate and present project-related information and metrics for leadership review
• Coordinate initiatives for automation, defect metrics and overall quality initiatives
• Recommend strategic direction, continuous improvements and policy changes
• Advance operational and business concerns or issues relative to future programs, projects, or enhancements to ensure consistent delivery of quality services
• Lead project/program management activities around cost, schedule, quality, etc.

All About You

• Strong understanding and experience with SAFe Agile with certifications
• Experience serving as Agile Scrum Master for at least 3 years for new project software development teams, applying Scrum principles
• Strong facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvements, empowerment, and transparency
• Knowledge of patterns and techniques such as burndown, retrospectives, defect handling
• Results-oriented professional with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to guide teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders and vendors across locations
• Good understanding and experience with Lean methodology
• Knowledge of project/program management techniques around cost, schedule, quality
