Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager for the Global Tech & Data organization based in Hyderabad, India.

This role focuses on delivering large-scale programs across data pipelines, analytics, and AI-driven features, working closely with the Head of Data & Analytics and various engineering and business teams. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in program/product management, 3+ years in engineering, and 2+ years in data/analytics, with excellent communication

Qualifications

• 7+ years of proven experience in program and/or product management.
• 3+ years of experience in Engineering (Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science etc).
• 2+ years of experience in Data, Analytics and Science Engineering.
• Experience communicating with executive leadership to report status, risk and mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business and tech executives, engineers, and data scientists to define end-to-end programs.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of data pipelines, event schemas, data ingestion, validation, and downstream analytics consumption.
• Gather requirements across functions and translate into roadmaps with engineering teams.
• Communicate clearly and concisely, acting as the primary contact for Data & Analytics leadership.
• Develop and maintain project timelines, secure commitments, identify critical paths.
• Own Analytics Implementation Proposals (AIPs) end-to-end across Product, Engineering and QA.
• Monitor progress and report status to executive leadership including C-level.
• Demonstrate AI fluency and evaluate AI-driven features for production environments.

Roles & Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Senior Technical Program Manager for Global DAP organization. In this role, you will work closely with Head of Data & Analytics and many internal and external teams to deliver successful projects for the company. The ideal candidate will excel at large scale program management, executive communication and presentation, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and be capable of driving project success by working closely with many engineering and business teams.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including business and tech executives, engineers, data scientists to understand project details, dependencies and build end to end program.

• Demonstrate strong understanding of data pipelines and instrumentation flows, including event schema definitions (JSON payloads), data ingestion, validation, and downstream analytics consumption, with the ability to partner closely with engineering teams on implementation tradeoffs.

• Gather requirements across various functions and build to roadmap by working closely with engineering teams.

• Communicate effectively through clear and concise written and verbal communication, acting as the primary point of contact for Data & Analytics leadership.

• Develop and maintain project timelines, securing commitments, and identifying critical paths.

• Own and drive Analytics Implementation Proposals (AIPs) end-to-end, including defining analytics requirements, schema events, attributes, and instrumentation details for new and existing features, ensuring alignment across Product, Engineering and QA teams.

• Become a subject matter expert in Analytics space and connect the dots by working with various team and clear impediments to make program success.

• Monitor progress and report status to executive leadership including C-level.

• Exhibit AI fluency, including working knowledge of LLM‑based systems, retrieval‑augmented architectures, and agent‑based workflows, and ability to evaluate, scope, and operationalize AI‑driven features in a production environment.

• Apply processes, standards, and risk management thoughtfully, ensuring the appropriate amount of process and structure for successful outcomes.

• Utilize industry‑standard tools and practical approaches to problem‑solving.

• Influence the team through data and objective‑driven decision‑making, guiding outcomes, and operational excellence improvements.

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of the team's role within the business and its alignment with the overall company objectives.

What to Bring:

• 7+ years of proven experience in program and or product management

• 3+ years of experience in Engineering (Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science etc)

• 2+ years of experience in Data, Analytics and Science Engineering.

• Previous experience in working closely with executive leadership to communicate program status, risk and mitigation (CTOs, CDOs, CEOs etc)

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.

• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify simple and effective solutions.

• Excellent decision‑making abilities, knowing when to engage appropriate resources for problem resolution.

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely – previous executive presentation experience is a must.

• Proficient in using industry‑standard tools and software applications.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and build relationships with stakeholders.

• Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and risk management principles is desirable.
