Amazon Music is seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager to collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and content teams to deliver customer-obsessed engineering solutions at scale.

You will assess risks, balance business needs with technical constraints, and demonstrate progress to leadership. You will influence product delivery, drive continuous process improvements, and represent the technical team to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years direct experience with engineering teams.
• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of TPM experience with software teams.
• Experience coordinating release schedules across cross-functional teams.
• Experience owning roadmap strategy and definition.

As a Sr. Technical Program Manager in the Amazon Music team, you will collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, design, content producers and artist/label relation teams to deliver customer obsessed engineering solutions with efficient use of resources and technologies. You will assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, make tradeoffs, balance the needs of the business and technical constraints. You will be a role model enforcer of industry standard software development processes and practices. You will be the face to leadership to demonstrate progress and surface risks early.

You possess a deep understanding of customer facing product design, mobile implementations, complex software services and will represent the technical team to senior leadership and partners. Your technical expertise, attention to details with regard to process efficiencies and operational excellence will influence the team’s decisions and drive secure and robust solutions. You should not only be passionate about delivering great music experiences, but should also be obsessed with driving continuous process improvements to optimize product delivery. • Drive implementation and delivery of large-scale Music initiatives.
• Lead agile engineering and design teams to coordinate, prioritize and deliver the roadmap
• Understand service inter-dependencies, mobile implementation nuances and lead cross-functional teams towards technical solutions

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
• 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
• 3+ years of software development experience
• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
• Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
