Job summary

The Senior Staff Technical Program Manager will lead cross-functional efforts spanning cloud infrastructure, compute, networking, storage, AI infrastructure, and platform services to deliver measurable business outcomes.

The role requires deep technical judgment, program leadership, and the ability to influence without authority while navigating ambiguity.

Qualifications

• 12+ years leading large-scale technical programs in cloud infrastructure or distributed systems.
• 2+ years driving infrastructure programs across compute, networking, storage, and AI infrastructure.
• Experience shaping architecture, governance, and execution in multi-team environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic, organization-wide programs across cloud infrastructure and platform services.
• Partner with engineering leaders to prioritize investments and accelerate delivery of initiatives.
• Drive platform transformations including architecture modernization, reliability, and automation.
• Define governance, executive reviews and risk management processes.
• Mentor TPMs and grow program-management excellence within CIC.

Role Overview

The Coupang Intelligent Cloud (CIC) organization is building the next-generation cloud platform that powers Coupang's rapidly expanding business. CIC provides the foundational infrastructure, cloud services, platform capabilities, and operational excellence that enable engineering teams across the company to innovate at scale.

As a Senior Staff Technical Program Manager, you will drive large-scale, cross-functional initiatives spanning cloud infrastructure, compute, networking, storage, AI infrastructure, platform services, operational excellence, reliability, capacity management, and cloud business growth. You will partner closely with engineering leaders, principal engineers, product leaders, finance, security, and operations teams to define strategy, build execution plans, and deliver business-critical outcomes.

This role requires a unique combination of technical depth, organizational leadership, operational rigor, and strategic thinking. You will lead complex programs that influence the direction of CIC, establish scalable operating mechanisms, and ensure alignment across multiple organizations. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership while driving execution with urgency and accountability.

The ideal candidate can speak the language of engineers, understand large-scale distributed systems and cloud infrastructure, influence without authority, and navigate ambiguity while delivering measurable results.
