Job summary

Simplify Alpha™ seeks a hands-on Technical Lead/Architect to guide delivery teams across the .NET Core and React stack. You will define deployments on AKS, own database design, and set code standards while collaborating with client engineering teams.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in software engineering and at least 3 years in leadership, with deep SQL Server and PostgreSQL expertise, and strong CI/CD experience on Azure.

Responsibilities

• Guide the technical team through customer deliveries, providing hands‑on architecture and design direction across the .NET Core and React stack.
• Architect and own application deployments on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including containerization, scaling, and release strategy.
• Own database design and optimization across SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Drive code reviews and enforce engineering standards for .NET Core backend and React frontend.
• Define integration patterns — REST APIs, event‑driven workflows, and Azure‑native services.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical direction across squads.
• Join technical calls with client engineering teams to discuss, refine, and align on solution design.
• Apply strong problem‑solving skills to work through complex technical challenges and keep customer deliveries on track.
• Evaluate and adopt tooling for CI/CD and delivery automation on Azure DevOps.

What You Bring

• 8+ years in software engineering; 3+ years as a technical lead or architect.
• Deep expertise in SQL, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL — schema design, query tuning, replication.
• Hands‑on experience deploying and operating applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Heavy, hands‑on knowledge of .NET Core (C#) for backend services and REST API development.
• Heavy, hands‑on knowledge of React and full‑stack application architecture.
• Proven experience leading code reviews and setting engineering standards.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of ETL tools and data integration patterns (e.g., DBT, Azure Data Factory) — good to have, not mandatory.
• Healthcare domain experience — HL7, FHIR, EDI 837/835, or claims data.
• Azure certifications (Solutions Architect Expert or Data Engineer Associate).
• Experience with Databricks, Spark, or Azure Synapse for large‑scale data processing.
• Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or Bicep on Azure.
