Job Description Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Cloud Architect to design and implement enterprise cloud foundations, security controls and network architectures. The candidate should have deep expertise in at least one major cloudAzure, AWS or GCPand working knowledge of another.
The role focuses on landing zones, governance, shared services and infrastructure modernization, supported by strong automation and technical leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess existing cloud environments and define target architectures, modernization approaches and implementation roadmaps.
- Design enterprise landing zones covering resource hierarchy, identity, networking, security and shared services.
- Establish governance standards for access management, policy enforcement, resource organization, tagging and cost management.
- Design hybrid connectivity, network segmentation, private access, DNS and centralized traffic inspection.
- Define security baselines and modernization approaches for identity, network security and shared infrastructure.
- Develop reusable infrastructure provisioning frameworks using Terraform and integrate them with CI/CD pipelines.
- Design high availability, disaster recovery, monitoring and operational readiness.
- Plan phased migrations, coexistence, validation and rollback for changes to production environments.
- Lead client workshops or discovery sessions and prepare architecture documents, proposals, effort estimates and delivery plans.
- Guide implementation teams, review technical solutions and mentor engineers.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS or GCP), plus basic knowledge of a second
- Experience delivering enterprise cloud foundations and landing zones.
- Strong knowledge of resource hierarchy, IAM, identity federation and policy-based governance.
- Strong cloud networking knowledge, including routing, DNS, firewalls, private connectivity and hybrid integration.
- Experience with encryption, secrets management, security baselines and compliance controls.
- Hands-on Terraform experience, including reusable modules, state management and infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
- Understanding of DevSecOps, policy as code and infrastructure change controls.
- Experience with observability, resilience, disaster recovery and cloud cost management.
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
- Strong architecture documentation, stakeholder communication and technical leadership skills.
Good to Have
- Multi-region cloud deployments and enterprise network modernization.
- Cloud security posture management and centralized security monitoring.
- Kubernetes, managed container services or OpenShift.
- Experience in regulated enterprise environments.
- Relevant cloud architecture or security certifications.
Good to Have AI
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure requirements for AI workloads.
- Awareness of secure model access, AI platform governance and data protection.
- Understanding of AI usage monitoring, quotas and inference cost management.
