Role Description

The Senior Tax Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. This role involves leading and managing tax engagements, including tax planning, compliance, and preparation for a diverse portfolio of clients, with emphasis on indirect taxes and GST. The Senior Tax Manager will review complex tax computations, interpret and apply tax laws, oversee statutory filings, and manage tax litigation and assessments. The role includes supervising and mentoring team members, coordinating with government authorities and legal professionals, and ensuring high standards of quality, ethics, and client service. The Senior Tax Manager will also contribute to developing internal tax processes, identifying risk areas, and proposing strategic tax solutions aligned with clients’ business objectives.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in tax planning and tax strategy to optimize clients’ tax positions.
• Demonstrated experience in tax compliance and tax preparation across direct and indirect tax domains.
• In-depth knowledge of tax law, with specific focus on GST and related regulatory frameworks.
• Broad understanding of core tax concepts and practices, including risk assessment and advisory.
• Professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant (CA) with 4-5 years if experience or equivalent; additional tax certifications are an advantage.
• Several years of progressive experience in tax management, ideally including exposure to consultancy or advisory firms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpretation skills, with the ability to handle complex tax matters.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and communicate clearly in written and verbal form.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to ethical and timely delivery of services.
