Jobgether SRL is seeking a Senior Systems Support Engineer (Node) based in India. You will maintain stability, performance, and availability of complex application systems, leveraging Node.js, Java, cloud technologies, and DevOps to troubleshoot issues and improve reliability.

You will mentor juniors, participate in incident management, and support continuous delivery across diverse environments, with 24/7 rotation as needed.

Formación

• Experience developing and supporting applications using Node.js and Java, with ability to troubleshoot and maintain production systems.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) including deployment, monitoring, and operational best practices.
• Scripting experience (Python/PowerShell) to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
• Strong understanding of monolithic, n-tier, microservices, and serverless architectures.
• Excellent debugging and incident-triaging skills for complex issues.

As a Senior Systems Support Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining the stability, performance, and availability of complex application systems. You will leverage your expertise in Node.js, Java, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices to troubleshoot critical issues and improve system reliability. Working closely with engineering teams, you will help deliver high-quality software enhancements, optimize operational processes, and ensure seamless application performance. You will contribute to incident management, monitoring, continuous delivery, and root-cause analysis across diverse technical environments. In addition to solving complex technical challenges, you will mentor junior colleagues and promote engineering excellence. Accountabilities

• Manage incident resolution processes using appropriate tools, application monitoring metrics, and reporting mechanisms to identify issues and implement corrective actions.


• Analyze complex application architectures, troubleshoot business-critical issues, and perform effective debugging and root-cause analysis to minimize service disruptions.


• Apply operational standards and engineering best practices to improve system reliability, stability, availability, and overall performance.


• Support the evolution, deployment, and maintenance of high-quality software through continuous delivery practices, enabling faster and more reliable delivery of customer value.


• Implement and optimize logging, alerting, and monitoring strategies to detect anomalies, investigate incidents, and improve system observability.


• Use DevOps tools and practices to deploy, operate, and maintain software efficiently across different environments.


• Develop, maintain, and test bug fixes and enhancements to existing codebases, ensuring quality, reliability, and maintainability.


• Promote cloud best practices, including resource optimization, monitoring, alerting, and secure application operations.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies, contributing to continuous improvement and effective delivery.


• Mentor junior engineers and colleagues by sharing technical expertise, providing guidance, and promoting strong engineering practices.


• Apply modern technology approaches and emerging engineering practices to solve complex client challenges and improve technical solutions.


• Participate in a rotation-based, business-needs-driven support team that provides 24/7 coverage when required.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience developing and supporting applications using Node.js and Java, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain production systems.


• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including cloud architecture, deployment, monitoring, and operational best practices.


• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency.


• Strong understanding of application architectures, including monolithic, N-tier, layered, microservices, and serverless systems.


• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and incident-triaging skills, with the ability to investigate complex issues and identify root causes efficiently.


• Hands-on experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, as well as familiarity with relational and non-relational database technologies.


• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and continuous integration and delivery tools such as Jenkins or Azure Pipelines.


• Familiarity with application monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana, including relevant performance metrics, reporting, and corrective actions.


• Ability to deliver high-quality, well-tested bug fixes and software enhancements while maintaining existing application functionality.


• Experience working with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and/or Kanban.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
