Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking an experienced engineer to design boot software for NVIDIA SoC platforms. You will work on CPU and memory initialization, drivers, and platform configuration while aligning with security requirements.

You will collaborate across software and hardware teams, ensure bootloader compatibility, and help drive automation using AI tools. A background in ARMv8 and automotive/ISO safety standards is highly valued.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Proficient in C programming and low-level driver work.
• Knowledge of ELF, DWARF formats and ABI understanding.
• Experience developing Boot software or BSP for embedded, mobile, automotive products or networking products.
• Familiarity with ARMv8 architecture and board bring-up.

Responsibilities

• Design boot software for NVIDIA SoC platforms with focus on enabling boot across operating systems.
• Develop and productize software for CPU and memory initialization, resource management, drivers, platform configuration, and security parameters.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, architecture and platform teams to define system requirements, configurations, and boot security.
• Ensure the bootloader architecture maintains forward and backward compatibility, emphasizing boot security and performance.
• Contribute to achieving best performance and ISO26262/ISO21434 compliance for current and next-generation NVIDIA SoCs.
• Improve workflows and processes by using AI agents and tools to establish automation frameworks.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design key aspects of the Boot SW with focus on enabling an entire range of NVIDIA SoC platforms to boot various operating systems.
• Develop and productize software for CPU and memory initialization, resource management, drivers, platform configuration, and security parameters.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, architecture and platform teams to define system requirements, configurations, and boot security.
• Ensure the bootloader architecture maintains forward and backward compatibility, emphasizing on boot security and performance.
• Contribute to achieving the best performance, efficiency in compliance with ISO26262 safety standards and ISO21434 security standards for current and next-generation NVIDIA TEGRA SoCs.
• Improve work flows and processes by using AI agents and tools to establish automation frameworks and agentic work flows.

What We Need To See

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience with 5+ years of software development.
• Strong programming, debugging, and analytical skills with a deep understanding of operating systems and processor ISA.
• Proficiency in C programming and low-level driver experience; expertise in system-level debugging.
• Knowledge of Assemblers, binary formats (such as ELF, DWARF), and understanding of ABI.
• Experience in developing Boot software or BSP for embedded, mobile, automotive products or networking products.
• Familiarity with ARMv8-based processor architecture and board bring-up.
• Self-learner with excellent proactive communication skills and a professional approach to technical challenges.
• Inquisitive about AI tools and Agentic work flows.
