Job summary

Guidepoint’s Market Research Team seeks a Senior Survey Programmer to set up and program complex market research questionnaires into web-based platforms with custom design, aligned to US East Coast hours. This hybrid role can be based in Mumbai or Pune, India, or fully remote.

You’ll program in Qualtrics, handle routing and display logic, QA surveys, manage translations, and collaborate with project managers and field teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in programming market research surveys in Qualtrics or another online survey platform.
• Ability to translate spec documents into programmed surveys and communicate timing updates.
• Comfort with implementing complex survey design elements (conjoint, maxdiff, least-fill randomization).
• Experience QAing surveys and designing QA workflows to ensure alignment with spec/design.
• Ability to advise on best practices for survey design and respondent experience.

Responsibilities

• Program market research questionnaires provided in Word into the Qualtrics platform with high quality and timely delivery.
• Set up routing, display logic, and termination logic to control respondent flow.
• Ensure media and text render accessibly, aesthetically, and engagingly in surveys.
• Make recommendations to project managers when designs are unclear or could confuse respondents.
• QA programmed surveys to verify they meet client requirements before delivery.
• Ensure projects collect sample, via internal processes or external recruitment partners.
• Coordinate translations and QA to ensure translations display correctly for end respondents.
• Communicate project status and changes with project managers via chat, calls, and project management tools.
• Coordinate with fieldwork teams to keep quotas current.
• Handle other duties as required.

Overview:

Guidepoint's Market Research Team is seeking a Senior Survey Programmer to help set up and program some of our most complex/bespoke market research questionnaires into web-based platforms with custom web design, and conducting QA on programmed survey work. This position would be expected to work hours aligned with US-based colleagues on the East Coast.

This can be a hybrid position out of one of our offices in India (Mumbai, Pune) or remote.

What You’ll Do:

• Program market research questionnaires provided in Microsoft Word formatting into the Qualtrics online survey platform in a high quality and timely manner
• Set up routing, custom display logic, and termination logic to ensure only appropriate respondents are let into the survey and asked relevant questions
• Ensure questions and any supporting media (video, images, formatted text) are displayed in the survey platform in a way that is accessible, understandable, aesthetically pleasing, and engaging for survey respondents
• Make recommendations to project managers for adjustments or clarification where designs or specifications are unclear to yourself or would produce confusion for survey respondents
• Conduct quality assurance on programmed surveys to ensure they meet client/project requirements prior to sending
• Ensure projects are set up to collect sample, either internally or via redirects from external recruitment partners
• Manage and upload translations provided by third parties, and conduct quality assurance to ensure translations are displaying correctly for end respondents
• Communicate directly and indirectly with project managers on project status updates, edit requests, and questions, through instant messaging, video calls, and updates in project management platforms
• Coordinate with fieldwork teams to ensure necessary quotas are set up and kept up-to-date
• Other duties as required

What You Have:

• 7+ years experience in programming market research surveys in Qualtrics (strongly preferred) or another online survey platform (Decipher/Forsta, Alchemer, Sawtooth, Versive)
• Ability to interface with internal teams to gather requirements, translate spec documents into programmed surveys, and communicate updates on timing expectations
• Comfort withimplementing more complex survey design elements (conjoint, maxdiff, least-fill randomization)
• Experience QAing surveys and designing survey QA processes and workflows to ensure that work aligns to requested spec/design work
• Ability to consult on best practices for survey design and experience, flagging if survey designs may have issues that make them difficult for end-respondents to answer
