We are seeking an experienced Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Administrator to support a large-scale enterprise End User Computing (EUC) environment. The role focuses on ensuring service stability, SLA adherence, optimal user experience, and operational excellence within a 24x7 managed-services delivery model.
Platform Administration:
- Administer and support Citrix CVAD / Citrix DaaS environments, including Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, and NetScaler (ADC) Gateway.
- Operate and maintain Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), including host pools, session hosts, and application groups.
- Manage FSLogix profile containers and golden image lifecycle (build, test, version, deploy).
- Ensure platform high availability, performance, and secure remote access in line with enterprise standards.
Incident, Problem and Change Management:
- Provide L2 and L3 support for Citrix and AVD incidents; perform root-cause analysis and implement preventive actions.
- Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) reviews and execute changes following ITIL best practices.
- Maintain operational runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge-base articles.
Monitoring and User Experience:
- Monitor end-user experience metrics such as logon duration and session stability using Citrix Director, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.
- Proactively identify performance degradation and drive improvements.
Automation and Cost Optimisation:
- Develop PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive administrative tasks.
- Optimise Azure consumption (right-sizing, scaling schedules, reserved capacity) to control cloud spend.
Governance and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to security, audit, and regulatory requirements (e. g., access reviews, patching, vulnerability remediation).
- Maintain accurate platform documentation and configuration records.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Technical Skills:
- Citrix CVAD / Citrix DaaS, StoreFront, and NetScaler (ADC) administration.
- Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) host pool design and session host management.
- FSLogix profile container management.
- Windows Server, Windows 10/11 (multi-session), Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
- PowerShell scripting for administration and automation.
Operational Skills:
- Working knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration).
- Hands‑on experience with monitoring tools such as Citrix Director and Azure Monitor.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Nerdio Manager for Enterprise.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Management.
- Exposure to large, regulated enterprise environments (banking, insurance, healthcare).
Certifications(Preferred):
- Citrix Certified Associate Virtualisation (CCA‑V).
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ‑104).
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Speciality (AZ‑140).
