Job summary

Qualifacts is seeking an experienced Sr. Staff Software Engineer Tech Lead to design and build features in .NET for healthcare SaaS platforms. You will guide architecture for scalable, secure cloud-native systems and mentor a team of engineers in Vadodara.

You will apply AI-assisted development tools, implement REST/SOAP APIs, and collaborate with Product Owners to refine requirements while ensuring performance and reliability across the stack.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software development experience, with 3+ years in leadership/architect roles.
• Deep expertise in .NET technologies (including .NET Core) and C#.
• Experience with cloud-native, microservices-based SaaS applications.
• Front-end tech: CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular or React.
• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server and performance tuning.
• Experience with AWS or Azure, including serverless architectures.
• API design/consumption with RESTful and SOAP APIs; HL7 FHIR preferred.
• Familiarity with AI agents, orchestration, or workflow-driven AI patterns.

Responsibilities for the Sr. Staff Software Engineer •

• Lead design and development of features within .NET-based healthcare applications
• Lead architectural decisions for cloud-native, microservices-based systems ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability
• Guide the team on where and how AI can be applied pragmatically to existing workflows
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to improve developer productivity and code quality
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners to shape requirements, refine technical specifications, and assess feasibility
• Independently take ownership of projects, proactively identifying potential risks and driving solutions to completion
• Mentor and support lower-level developers, provide code reviews, share best practices, and offer guidance when needed
• Drive debugging and performance optimization efforts, identifying and resolving bottlenecks in applications and databases
• Work closely with QA, other engineers, and operations to support smooth releases and system stability

Qualifications of the Sr. Staff Software Engineer Tech Lead

• 12+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 3+ years in technical leadership or architect role.
• Exposure to AI agents, orchestration, or workflow driven AI patterns.
• Strong architectural and design understanding, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability
• Deep expertise in .NET technologies, including .NET Core, C# and SaaS application development
• Experience with front-end technologies, including CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular or React
• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including query optimization and performance tuning.
• AWS or Azure experience, including serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge)
• Advanced debugging and performance optimization skills, with the ability to analyze complex system issues and improve efficiency
• Expertise in designing, consuming, and integrating APIs and web services, including RESTful and SOAP APIs
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently, taking responsibility for projects and ensuring successful outcomes
• Experience deploying and managing applications in AWS, including knowledge of AWS services, architecture, and best practices
• Proven experience in Agile/Scrum environments, actively contributing to process improvements and sprint success
• Proficiency in HL7 FHIR and healthcare data integration, preferred
• Understanding of healthcare compliance regulations and reporting standards, preferred

• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions, assisting Product Owners in refining requirements and identifying the best approaches
• Ability to mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical support and promoting best practices
• Strong architectural and design understanding, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability

Nice to Have

• AI or cloud AI certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Anthropic) demonstrating practical experience with AI platforms, LLMs, or AI-assisted development.
• Prior experience in EHR, behavioral health, or healthcare SaaS.
