Job summary

Tumeryk, a security and governance platform, is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain core backend services powering AI observability, trust scoring, and guardrail enforcement in enterprise environments.

Role Description As a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Tumeryk, you will design, build, and maintain core backend services that power the security and governance capabilities of our AI platform. You will lead architecture decisions, review and refine system designs, and implement scalable, reliable software solutions for AI observability, trust scoring, and guardrail enforcement.

Day-to-day work includes hands-on programming, scrum managment, code reviews, performance optimization, and collaboration with product, security, and data science teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions. You will mentor engineers, establish best practices, and contribute to technical roadmaps and standards for secure, compliant AI infrastructure. You will lead a team of engineers to ensure the Engineering decelopment processes are following end to wnd and work completed on time with high quality.

This is a full-time hybrid role based in the Greater Delhi Area, with flexibility for partial work from home.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and system design.
• Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, building APIs and services, and working with modern backend frameworks.
• Deep expertise in Software Development and Programming, with proficiency in one or more industry-standard languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, or similar).
• Applied knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, patterns, and best practices in large-scale systems.
• Proven experience leading complex engineering projects, setting technical direction, and mentoring other engineers.
• Background in security, compliance, or governance for cloud or AI-native applications is highly beneficial.
• Experience with microservices, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and make sound technical decisions under ambiguity.
