We're looking for an experienced Staff Engineer to join our Data Path team.Reporting to the Manager, Software Engineering, you'll be responsible for:

• Handling process packets at ingress and egress points at high speed to ensure no noticeable latency for clients
• Collaborating with the operations team to deploy, monitor, patch, and scale systems as needed
• Identifying and resolving hotspots to ensure smooth performance as the user base grows

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• 10+ years of experience in C/C++ programming in a distributed and enterprise-scale environment
• Experience with networking protocols and traffic management technologies (e.g. TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, QUIC)
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot network performance issues (latency/packet loss) including analysis using traffic tools
• Strong knowledge in one of the cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with Kubernetes components and containerization technologies such as Docker or Podman

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Familiarity with Hashicorp packer for building and customizing VM images for cloud for AWS, Azure, GCP or Vmware ESX
• Stay current with industry trends and propose enhancements to improve system reliability, scalability and network efficiency
• Master's or Bachelor's degree in either Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering
