Micron India is seeking a NAND Silicon Design Validation Product Engineer to lead validation projects for new NAND Flash memory products. The role is located in Hyderabad and involves working closely with NAND R&D, Design, Manufacturing, Business Units, and Quality Assurance.
Responsibilities
- Leading validation projects from start to finish – developing overall coverage plans during post‑silicon phases, planning development timelines, implementing test development before silicon availability, taking overall responsibility for validation flow execution and analysis, and driving issues to closure with relevant team members.
- Designing novel test algorithms and developing test programs for validating and characterizing NAND features, commands, timings, and currents.
- Characterizing, debugging, and validating NAND according to datasheet specifications and in customers’ designs and systems.
- Partnering with product engineering, manufacturing, marketing, tester vendors, design engineering, and RWB teams.
- Developing NAND validation and characterization programs and using them to debug advanced NAND designs and features.
- Using high‑speed tester hardware to perform functional and design validation of new NAND devices.
- Analyzing large data sets on NAND characteristics, proving design margins and functionality.
- Assisting with NAND design bring‑up, validation, reticle experiments, and firmware changes.
- Applying engineering bench and testers to perform device characterization and electrical failure analysis.
Qualifications
- Keen interest in design validation.
- For Senior Engineer role – 3–5 years of experience in NAND or related post‑silicon validation and test program development. Staff Engineer role – 6+ years of experience in NAND related product and/or test program development. Principal Engineer role – 10+ years of experience in NAND validation.
- Strong organization, planning, and prioritization skills.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics, characterization techniques, and equipment.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills with the ability to be self‑driven.
- Software development proficiency (e.g., C‑based programming) and scripting (e.g., Perl, Python).
- Effective communication skills in written and spoken English.
- Simulation software know‑how (e.g., Verilog, Synopsis VCS) is a plus.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Strong self‑motivation and enthusiasm.
