Job summary

Narayana Health in Bengaluru is seeking a dedicated nurse to oversee admission, monitoring and discharge of newborns in the neonatal care unit. You will ensure hygienic practices, administer IV therapies and reliably communicate with mothers and families, supporting critical infant care in shifts with the care team.

Responsibilities

  • Admission and discharge of the patients
  • Provide intravenous therapies, feedings and monitor the baby
  • Make the baby feel comfortable
  • Provide full detailed knowledge about the baby to mother
  • Ensure every activity performed on ill infant is purely hygienic
  • Works in shifts with other staff and wears all necessary gear
  • Ensures the functioning of all devices is good
  • Produce all the reports of ill infant to doctor which help him/her to monitor the baby condition
  • Responsible for all documentation as per policy and all forms necessary for the patient
  • The nurses have to keep checking on the patients constantly during their duty as all the patients are in critical condition
  • Care of the dying and dead
  • Maintenance of therapeutic environment in the ward
  • BLS and NALS/PALS trained staff

Job Purpose:

Responsible for admission, monitoring and discharge of the infants/babies.
