Job summary

Bloom Energy in Bengaluru seeks an experienced NPI Program Manager to lead new product introductions, manage DFx, and drive readiness at contract manufacturers.

You will own BOMs, develop assembly instructions, and coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, QA & SCM to ensure Bloom quality standards are met.

Travel up to 20% and a BE in EEE/ECE are required; 13+ years in NPI with hands-on PCBA and box builds is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have NPI program management experience (13+ years)
• Hands-on PCBA and box build experience
• Knowledge of PCB, sheet metal, and cable harness procurement/assembly
• Experience with power electronics (DC-DC converters, inverters) a plus
• Familiarity with PLM concepts: BOMs, ECN, Deviations
• Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration across teams
• Willingness to work across time zones and with contract manufacturers

Job description

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead NPI process for new product development (NPD)
• Technology Transfer of new products from design to mass manufacturing
• Drive manufacturing, material and test readiness at "Contract Manufacturers"
• Conduct DFx reviews and process capability to ensure product design and manufacturing processes are capable of meeting the required Bloom quality standards
• Structure and maintain new product BOMs
• Develop assembly work instructions and procedures
• Set clear goals and expectations to ensure all stakeholders are aligned
• Implementation of ECNs and Deviations in manufacturing, contract manufacturers and vendors for various commodities
• Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, QA & SCM teams on issue resolution

Education & Desired Experience:

• Bachelor of Engineering in EEE/ECE
• 13+ years experience in NPI Program Management
• Hands on experience in PCBA and Box builds is mandatory
• Knowledge on various commodities like PCB, Sheet metal, Cable Harness is must
• Knowledge of power electronics such as DC-DC converter and Inverters, is a plus
• Knowledge of manufacturing-specific roles throughout NPI phases including HW, SW, manufacturing process, Testing and Reliability
• Knowledge of PLM concepts including BOMs, ECN, Deviations
• Good communication skills and ability to work across teams
• Ability to relate well to a cross functional team from manufacturing, supply chain, NPI & Engineering
• Ability to work effectively across time zones and support contract manufacturers in different geographies
