Job summary

Automation Anywhere is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer to lead and execute advanced DevOps initiatives in a fast-paced environment. You will architect and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure, and drive reliability across platforms.

You will mentor a growing DevOps team, collaborate with engineering and QA, and champion secure, automated deployments using Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform, and modern observability tooling. Bangalore onsite role with senior responsibilities.

Staff DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Sr Staff Engineer , you will play a critical leadership role in driving the evolution of our DevOps practices. Performing hands-on technical execution, as well as providing strategic leadership, you will be responsible for guiding and growing the DevOps function across the organization. You will manage day-to-day DevOps activities, ensure release quality and velocity, and support the team in building robust, scalable, and secure CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the DevOps team, setting clear goals, offering constructive feedback, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Oversee daily DevOps operations including build/release management, CI/CD pipelines, environment management, and infrastructure reliability.
• Drive technical decisions and provide guidance on tooling, automation strategies, and architecture.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, and product teams to prioritize work, align objectives, and ensure seamless deployments.
• Identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to reduce manual work and improve delivery speed.
• Ensure system scalability, performance, and security are considered in all DevOps solutions.
• Monitor and improve infrastructure reliability, alerting, and observability.
• Advocate for best practices in DevOps and promote a high-energy, accountable, and collaborative team culture.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering
• Proven expertise in: CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins Scripting (e.g., bash, and Python)
• Strong experience with Terraform infrastructure-as-code and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Hands-on experience with Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service), and Kubernetes-based deployments.
• Proficiency in containerization tools (e.g., Docker).
• Experience working with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, Cockroach DB) and managing database CI/CD and configuration tasks.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as Kloudfuse, Sumo Logic, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or ELK stack.
• Deep understanding of deployment pipelines, infrastructure automation, and system security best practices.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business needs.
• Passionate, self-motivated, and enthusiastic about DevOps practices and modern infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a fast-paced product or platform engineering environment.
• Exposure to security, compliance, and audit requirements in CI/CD and infrastructure.
• Cloud or Kubernetes-related certifications (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer, CKA).
• Experience integrating DevOps practices into SDLC and cross-functional workflows.
