• Expert in writing stored procedures, performance tuning, and architectural design.
• Responsible for ensuring integrity, availability, and performance of data platforms; mentor junior developers and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable database objects including stored procedures, triggers, views, and multi-table joins.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks through query optimization and indexing.
• Create and maintain data models (ERDs) for OLTP/OLAP to support BI needs.
• Design and implement end-to-end ETL/ELT processes in Azure for data ingestion and transformation.
• Develop automated scripts for maintenance and monitoring using Azure-native tools.
• Participate in architecture discussions on data partitioning, sharding, and HA configurations.
• Lead code reviews and mentor junior/mid-level developers; ensure best practices and security.
• Prepare technical documentation including data dictionaries, SOPs, and diagrams.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SQLDeveloper with over 8 years of experience in designing, developing, andoptimizing complex database systems within Azure-based cloud environments. Theideal candidate will be an expert in writing sophisticated stored procedures,performance tuning, and architectural design. You will be responsible forensuring the integrity, availability, and performance of our enterprise-leveldata platforms while mentoring junior developers and collaborating withcross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Database Development: Designand develop highly scalable database objects, including complex storedprocedures, triggers, views, and multi-table joins.
• Performance Tuning: Identifyand resolve database performance bottlenecks through query optimization, indexmanagement, and execution plan analysis.
• Data Modeling: Create andmaintain logical and physical data models (ERDs) for OLTP and OLAP systems tosupport business intelligence needs.
• Cloud Data Integration: Designand implement end-to-end ETL/ELT processes in Azure to ingest and transformdata from disparate sources while maintaining high data quality standards.
• Automation: Develop automatedscripts for database maintenance, data validation, and routine monitoring tasksusing Azure-native tools to reduce manual overhead.
• Architecture & Strategy: Participate in architectural discussions regarding data partitioning, sharding,and high-availability (HA) configurations.
• Code Review & Mentorship: Lead code reviews for junior and mid-level developers to ensure adherence tobest practices and security standards.
• Documentation: Prepare detailedtechnical documentation, including data dictionaries, SOPs, and systemarchitecture diagrams.

Required Technical Skills

• Azure Mastery (Mandatory): Extensive hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics,and Azure Data Factory.
• Expert-Level SQL: Mastery of Advanced SQL (CTEs, Window Functions, Dynamic SQL, and Complex Aggregations).
• Database Platforms: Extensiveexperience with MS SQL Server (T-SQL), PostgreSQL (PL/pgSQL), or Oracle(PL/SQL).
• Performance Optimization: Deepunderstanding of indexing strategies (Clustered vs. Non-Clustered), statistics,and query profiling tools.
• ETL/ELT Tools: Proficiency intools like Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or Informatica.
• Programming: Solidunderstanding of Python or PowerShell for database automation and scripting.
• Data Warehousing: Experiencewith Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) or Star/Snowflake schemas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud Infrastructure: Exposureto cloud-based data warehouses such as Snowflake or Amazon Redshift.
• Reporting: Experienceintegrating SQL backends with visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
