Wipro seeks a skilled Splunk Lead to drive distributed Splunk deployments in Bengaluru or Chennai. The role requires 6–10 years of experience and hands-on work with clustering, forwarding, and deployment automation. You will optimize SPL jobs and build custom commands and integrations.

The position is on-site in either Bangalore or Chennai with market-competitive compensation and opportunities to work with cloud-native infrastructure and IaC tools.

Work exp 6 to 10Years

• Strong hands-on expertise in distributed Splunk architecture, including Indexer Clustering, Search Head Clustering, Heavy/Universal Forwarders, Deployment Server, replication/search factors, and cluster troubleshooting.
• Advanced configuration-layer experience with inputs.conf, outputs.conf, props.conf, transforms.conf, indexes.conf, server.conf, limits.conf, savedsearches.conf, configuration precedence, and CLI-based deployment.
• Expert-level SPL development and performance optimization, including streaming and transforming commands, tstats, data models, summary indexing, report acceleration, subsearch optimization, Job Inspector analysis, and resource-intensive search tuning.
• Strong production-grade Python 3.x development, including development of custom Splunk search commands, modular inputs, REST collectors, alerting scripts, custom integrations, apps, or add-ons using the Splunk SDK and REST APIs.
• Deep data-engineering experience across parsing, routing, filtering, field extraction, source-type design, high-volume ingestion, indexing queues, blocked pipelines, and data-quality optimization.
• Strong Linux and filesystem expertise, including Splunk directory structures, bucket lifecycle management, hot/warm/cold/frozen storage, disk I/O, memory, process, network, and OS-level troubleshooting.
• Experience automating Splunk configuration validation and deployment using Git, Bash, Ansible/Puppet, CI/CD pipelines, or infrastructure-as-code practices, with minimal reliance on GUI-based administration.
• Experience engineering Splunk environments on GCP and Kubernetes/GKE is preferred; Terraform exposure and relevant Splunk architecture/developer certifications are advantageous.
