Job summary

MSD is seeking a Senior Specialist Learning Technology to configure and support Learning solutions within SAP/SuccessFactors and Workday. You will operate in a matrixed HR technology environment, handling requirements, design, testing, and analytics across global platforms.

The role emphasizes SDLC governance, data integrity, and collaboration with HR Technology Process leads, COEs, and Operations teams. Hybrid work arrangements are supported, with posting end date in August 2026.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in HRIS/IT/HR Operations with Bachelor's degree or 6+ years with a High School diploma.
• 2+ years hands-on SAP/SuccessFactors and Workday Learning configuration.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical functionality.
• 2+ years leading or executing technology UAT and end-to-end testing.
• Understanding of data privacy principles and practices.
• Experience leading projects in deadline-driven environments.

Senior Specialist Learning Technology

Join our HR Technology team as a Senior Specialist focused on the configuration and support of Learning solutions. You will work within a complex, matrixed environment to assess business requests and drive performance across our global technology stack, including SAP/SuccessFactors, Workday, Axonify, and other learning technologies.

What You Will Do

• System Configuration Execute heavy configuration within the SAP/SuccessFactors and Workday applications, specifically focusing on Learning modules.
• Technical Documentation & SDLC Governance Develop and maintain SDLC documentation, including requirements, specifications, solution designs, test scripts, validation deliverables, release documentation, and knowledge articles. Support change control, GxP validation, audits, risk assessments, and IT governance compliance.
• Vendor Management Support and configure third-party learning systems, including 3rd party learning catalogs (e.g., LinkedIn Learning), reinforcement training platforms (e.g. Axonify), etc.
• Demand Management Support, assess, and manage new business requests, recommending alternative technical solutions to improve HR/HRIS processes.
• Collaboration Partner closely with HR Technology Process and Solutions leads, Global Centers of Excellence (COEs), and Operations Teams.
• Technical Troubleshooting Apply technical expertise to resolve complex business problems independently and collaboratively.
• Data Management & Reporting Maintain data integrity, compliance reporting, audit support, and analytics. Identify and resolve data issues while providing actionable operational insights.
• Continuous Improvement & Innovation Support process improvements, automation opportunities, and platform enhancements to improve efficiency, user experience, and overall learning ecosystem performance.

Required Qualifications

• Experience/Education Minimum 4 years of experience in HRIS, IT, or HR Operations with a Bachelor’s degree, OR minimum 6 years of experience with a High School diploma.
• SAP/SuccessFactors and Workday Configuration Minimum 2 years hands on experience in SAP/SuccessFactors and Workday Learning configuration.
• Requirements Engineering Experience translating end-user business requirements into technical system functionality.
• Technology Testing Minimum 2 years leading or executing technology User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and end-to-end system testing.
• Compliance Demonstrated understanding of data privacy principles and practices.
• Project Leadership Experience leading projects within deadline-driven, fast-paced environments.
• Environment Proven experience managing multiple high-priority projects in deadline-driven environments.
• Projects Experience leading cross-functional projects both as an individual contributor and team member.
• Communication Proven Experience presenting system capabilities and technical solutions to stakeholders.
• Analysis Demonstrated experience utilizing analytical skills to resolve complex business problems.
• Process Improvement Proven experience in business process analysis and identifying HRIS improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Configuration Minimum 1 year experience in SAP/SuccessFactors and Workday Learning configuration (e.g. system/platform, integrations, workflows, permission/security/business process and customizations).
• Cross-Functional Knowledge Understanding of related Workday modules, including HCM and Talent.
• Reporting Knowledge of Workday report writing and SAP/SuccessFactors Stories.
• Regional Privacy Knowledge of China PIPL laws.
• Advanced Learning Processes Experience supporting and configuring key/core Learning processes, including Learning Compliance and Qualification Management, automated Learning Assignments, Curricula and Program Management, Instructor-Led Training (ILT), Learning Content and Catalog Management, system integrations, security and governance, reporting and analytics, skills and competency management, career development, release and change management, validation activities, and audit and inspection support.
• AI Familiarity Familiarity with Sana Learning or other AI-powered learning tools and solutions.
• Change Management Experience acting as a change agent and leading others through organizational or system changes.
