Senior Specialist Manufacturing Automation

You will be playing a crucial role in advancing Digital Shop Floor technologies, collaboration, and leadership across the organization, with a specific focus on automation systems used in vaccine, biologics, and small molecule manufacturing processes worldwide. Your responsibilities will include providing technical guidance globally, leading sub teams, implementing proof of concepts, and consulting on various solutions. Additionally, you will support site operational teams in overcoming day-to-day challenges related to lifecycle management. Collaboration with business stakeholders, IT technical staff, and other engineering groups will be essential to ensure high operational efficiency of key assets. You will also work closely with suppliers to establish a cohesive technology roadmap.Your primary focus will be on building automation systems (BAS) utilized in the production of key products across different manufacturing areas. Reporting to the Product Owner, you will need to have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing automation. Direct experience in implementing Siemens Desigo CC Management Level and automation level systems is required, as well as knowledge of industrial cyber-security best practices for ICS systems. Effective communication skills, the ability to work in global teams, and a demonstrated understanding of GMP validation life cycle are also essential.Preferred skills for this role include strong working experience with Siemens Desigo CC, familiarity with other BAS systems like Schneider and Honeywell, knowledge of data exchange protocols, and experience in pharmaceutical facilities operations or project delivery. An in-depth understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and IT infrastructure topics influencing control system implementations will be beneficial. Any additional experience in areas such as Virtualization, Thin Clients, Windows server, and IT monitoring systems will be considered a plus.The position may involve up to 10% travel globally.
