Overview

As a Junior Researcher in our System Modelling team, you will play a crucial role in developing and utilising virtual prototypes of complex electronic systems. You will work closely with experienced researchers and engineers to create, maintain, and enhance MATLAB, Simulink, and System C/TLM models for various Infineon products, learning and growing in the field of system‑level modelling and contributing to cutting‑edge research.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of Simulink or System C/TLM models for hardware and software co‑simulation.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of virtual prototyping environments.
• Support the integration of Simulink and System C/TLM models with other simulation and analysis tools.
• Conduct basic experiments and simulations using virtual prototypes to analyse system behaviour and performance.
• Document modelling methodologies, simulation results, and findings clearly and concisely.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot modelling issues and implement improvements.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in Simulink and System C/TLM, virtual prototyping techniques, and relevant industry standards.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to technical discussions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong fundamentals in digital logic design, computer architecture, and embedded systems.
• Basic understanding of hardware description languages (e.g., Verilog, VHDL).
• Familiarity with programming languages such as C++ or Python.
• Exposure to system‑level modelling concepts is a plus.
• Knowledge of System C and/or Transaction‑Level Modelling (TLM) is beneficial but not mandatory.
