Job summary

Baker Hughes invites a Senior Specialist - Data Science to join Cordant analytics initiatives in Pune. You will partner with SMEs, engineering, product and commercial teams to translate analytics use cases into scalable solutions.

You will design and implement analytics models, ensure data quality, govern privacy, and present findings to leadership via visuals. 7-10 years analytics experience, Time Series, AI/ML, LLM, Gen AI skills required.

Qualifications

• Hold a master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a STEM field.
• 7-10 years of experience in analytics, including 3+ years working on enterprise-scale solutions.
• Experience in Time Series Data.
• Expertise in AI/ML, statistical methods, LLM, and Gen AI analytics, Python, and related libraries.
• Apply OOP concepts for analytics development.
• Familiarity with MLOps and model lifecycle management.
• Ability to work independently and drive outcomes.
• Strong system thinking and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to explain analytical ideas to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with SMEs, Engineering, Product, and Commercial teams to grasp analytics use case problem statements.
• Analyze these challenges from a domain perspective and recommend data science, statistical, or AI-driven solutions.
• Design and implement analytics solutions by applying advanced data science and statistical methods.
• Establish measurable outcomes and model metrics to enhance accuracy and reliability.
• Conduct exploratory analysis on large, complex datasets—cleaning, preprocessing, validating data, and identifying patterns and trends.
• Uphold data quality, governance, privacy standards, and advocate for the ethical use of data and AI.
• Build scalable, efficient analytics models in partnership with Data, Platform, and ML Engineers.
• Present insights clearly to stakeholders and leadership through visualizations, reports, and presentations detailing methodology, findings, and hypotheses.

As a Senior Specialist - Data Science, you will play a vital role in developing analytics solutions offered as part of Cordant applications. Ideal candidate will combine strong data science, statistical skill and hands on experience with developing analytics to solve real-world issues on a scale.

As a Senior Specialist – Data Science, you will also be responsible for:
