NTT Global Data Centers in Navi Mumbai is seeking a Senior Specialist - Civil Construction Project to lead civil engineering for large-scale data centre projects, from concept through commissioning. You will collaborate with structural, architectural and MEP teams to ensure safe, timely and cost-effective delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, 8–12 years in civil engineering, and 3–5 years in data centre or mission-critical construction.

Your role at a glance

The Senior Specialist - Civil Construction Project is responsible for leading and managing the civil engineering scope for large scale, mission critical data centre projects. The role combines deep technical expertise in civil engineering with strong project management capabilities to ensure high quality, cost effective, and timely delivery of civil works. This position requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, strict adherence to safety and quality standards, and effective oversight across the full project life cycle from design and permitting through construction and commissioning.

What we are looking for

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Lead civil engineering activities for data centre construction projects from concept to commissioning. Review and validate civil design drawings, specifications, and engineering calculations. Oversee site execution of civil works: excavation, grading, foundations, base build, fit-out works, external infrastructure, and civil finishes. Ensure civil works adhere to project quality, safety, and compliance standards. Collaborate closely with structural, architectural, MEP teams, and contractors to ensure integrated project delivery. Monitor onsite progress and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and quality. Support project managers in delivering civil scope on time and within budget. Knowledge, Skills and Attributes: Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction materials, and data centre infrastructure requirements. Knowledge of site development, foundations, utilities, drainage, and civil finishes. Familiarity with mission-critical construction standards and multidisciplinary coordination (Structural, MEP, Architecture). Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents accurately. Strong project management skills including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management. Proficiency with project tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, and SharePoint. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. High focus on quality, safety, documentation accuracy, and timely delivery in fast-paced environments. Academic Qualifications and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory). Required Experience: 8-12 years of civil engineering experience. 3-5 years in data centre or mission-critical construction. Experience in large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects. Strong civil site execution experience (foundations, grading, utilities, external works). Experience working with multidisciplinary teams (Structural, MEP, Architecture).
