Job summary

LTM in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India seeks an experienced PowerBuilder specialist to analyze and reverse engineer legacy PowerBuilder applications, focusing on DataWindows logic and DB2 interactions.

You will document business rules, data structures, and system interfaces, tracing data lineage from UI to storage and collaborating with the tech lead to clarify behavior. This role emphasizes modernization and detailed technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Analyse existing legacy PowerBuilder code including DataWindows business logic and database interactions.
• Research application workflows and data movement between the PowerBuilder application and DB2 database.
• Identify and document business rules dependencies interfaces and data structures.
• Trace data lineage from user interface components through application processing and database storage.
• Collaborate with technical lead myself to clarify application behavior.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and reverse engineer existing PowerBuilder applications to understand business processes and system behaviour.
• Review source code database objects interfaces and workflows to identify functional and technical requirements.
• Extract and document business rules application logic workflows and data dependencies.
• Create asis architecture diagrams process flows and technical documentation.
• Identify integration points with external systems and thirdparty applications.
• Analyse database schemas stored procedures triggers and data models.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to validate application functionality and undocumented requirements.
• Assess technical debt application risks and modernization opportunities.
• Support migration or transformation initiatives by providing detailed system knowledge.
• Perform impact analysis for enhancements and proposed system changes.
• Collaborate with architects business analysts developers and testing teams.
