Job summary

Ajackus is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to join its Professional Services team as a trusted technical advisor to global retail brands. You will lead technical direction from discovery through execution and mentor junior team members.

You will partner with clients and internal teams to architect scalable solutions, leverage cloud platforms (AWS), and integrate with eCommerce, POS, OMS, ERP, and fulfillment systems. This role reports to the Director of Solution Architecture.

Qualifications

• Client-facing technical work, including discovery and delivery.
• Experience building on serverless and cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar).
• Familiarity with eCommerce, POS, OMS, CRM, ERP and fulfillment platforms.

Responsibilities

Job description

We’re looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to join our Professional Services team as a trusted technical advisor to global retail brands transforming their in-store and omnichannel experiences. You’ll be involved from project discovery through execution, working closely with clients, solution partners, and product and engineering teams.

This is a senior individual contributor role for someone with strong development experience who enjoys client-facing problem-solving. You’ll own the technical direction of complex implementations and mentor more junior team members. This role reports to the Director of Solution Architecture.

What you‘ll do:

• Partner with clients and internal delivery teams to gather, validate, and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Architect solutions leveraging the cloud platform and AWS, integrating with existing eCommerce, POS, Order Management, Fulfillment, and ERP systems.
• Design and implement customizations to core functionality to meet client-specific business needs.
• Guide client technology teams and solution partners through hands‑on leadership, clear documentation, and technical recommendations.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact throughout the project lifecycle, from discovery to go-live.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management and Engineering to align customer needs with platform capabilities and help influence the product roadmap.

What you need to have:

• Experience building on serverless and cloud infrastructure, including AWS or similar platforms, as well as working with APIs, event‑driven architectures, and GraphQL.
• Familiarity with retail and commerce systems, including eCommerce, POS/mPOS, OMS, CRM, ERP, and fulfillment platforms.
• A proven track record of client-facing technical work, including discovery, solution design, and delivery.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with ambiguous requirements.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively translate between business stakeholders and engineering teams.
