Job summary

Volvo Group in Bengaluru seeks an experienced SAP PLM Consultant to design, configure, test, and deploy SAP PLM across the product lifecycle. You will work with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and IT stakeholders to create scalable PLM solutions that drive data quality and process efficiency.

The role requires deep hands-on SAP PLM expertise, experience with S/4HANA PLMSI, and integration with MM, PP, SD, and QM modules.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10+ years of experience in SAP PLM consulting and/or implementation.
• Strong hands-on expertise in SAP PLM configuration and core processes (BOM, document management, change management, material master integration).
• Experience integrating SAP PLM with SAP modules such as MM, PP, SD, and QM.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP PLM design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities across the solution lifecycle.
• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and drive workshops to confirm scope, priorities, and outcomes.
• Support end-to-end product development processes including engineering change management, document management, BOM management, and variant configuration.
• Use PLMSI component in S/4HANA to integrate external PLM data where applicable and ensure data quality across connected systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product data management and process efficiency, and integrate SAP PLM with MM, PP, SD, and QM.
• Support data migration, system enhancements, and production issue resolution, and create documentation, training material, and user guides.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Who are you?

You bring strong hands-on SAP PLM consulting experience and enjoy working close to the business to deliver practical outcomes. You understand engineering and product development ways of working and can explain complex topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are structured, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You take ownership, work independently when needed, and collaborate openly across teams and functions.Your experience and qualifications

• 8 to 10+ years of experience in SAP PLM consulting and/or implementation
• Strong hands-on expertise in SAP PLM configuration and core processes (BOM, document management, change management, material master integration)
• Experience integrating SAP PLM with SAP modules such as MM, PP, SD, and QM
• Experience in automotive and/or manufacturing environments; knowledge of relevant standards and best practices is an advantage
