Job summary

Trintech is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to ensure our AI-driven fintech SaaS solutions meet specifications before delivery. You will design, execute, and automate tests, identify defects, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve quality.

You should have 4–6 years of software testing experience, strong knowledge of SDLC/STLC, automation with Selenium, performance testing, and SQL/Oracle; JIRA experience is highly desired.

Qualifications

• B.Tech or BE in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 4–6 years of professional software testing experience.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Hands-on experience with test planning, test case design, data setup, defect management, execution, traceability matrices and metrics.
• Knowledge of SQL queries and databases (Oracle/SQL Server).
• Experience with test automation (Selenium) and performance testing (LoadRunner a plus).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across levels.
• Experience with reconciliation or month-end close applications preferred.

Trintech is an award-winning AI driven Fintech SaaS organization transforming the way finance teams operate and we are looking a Senior Software Test Engineer responsible for evaluating software solutions to ensure that it meets the specifications and requirements before being released to our customers.

The Sr Software Test Engineer needs to identify functional, performance, or usability issues and suggest resolutions. Interacts with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or modifications. In addition, Sr Software Test Engineer ensures testing procedures are in compliance with any required industry specific standards. Participates in designing and implementing testing processes and best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams of the Product to understand the requirements and client issues. This role also expects the person to help other junior employees.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Responsible for end-to-end testing activities.

• Develop and execute test plans consisting of both manual and automated test cases to validate software functionality against requirements and specifications.

• Identify, troubleshoot, report and track software defects and issues.

• Perform functional, performance, and regression testing of software products.

• Report test results and defects to the development team and other stakeholders and work on the resolution.

• Provide suggestions and feedback to improve the quality of the software development process across teams.

• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in software testing methodologies and tools.

• Active participation in planning, analysis and estimation of backlog requirements.

• Configure test environments with different platform combinations for testing.

• Ability to work in a close team environment, and engage with other departments.

• Able to work with minimal supervision and still meet job requirements and tight deadlines.

• Ability to help other junior employees.

• Learn automation tool (if new to automation) and automate the test cases.

• Learn performance testing tool (if new to performance testing) and run the performance test cases.

WHO YOU ARE

• B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) or BE (Bachelor of Engineering).

• 4-6 years of related professional experience in Software testing.

• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.

• Hands on experience on functional, systems testing including Test Planning, Test Cases Design, Test Data Setup, Defect Management, Test Execution, Traceability Matrix and Test Metrics.

• Knowledge of tools like JIRA is highly desired.

• Knowledge and experience using Oracle and SQL Server Database and SQL queries is preferrable.

• Knowledge and experience in test automation (preferably selenium), performance testing (Loadrunner is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills and an ability to effectively collaborate with all levels.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to both analyze and troubleshoot issues around product, third party software and databases.

• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet internal and external deadlines.

• Results and quality oriented with exceptional attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently under minimum supervision in Agile/Scrum methodology.

• Previous experience with Reconciliation and/or month-end close applications is preferred.
