Job summary

Inspirisys is seeking Senior Testers with strong Banking domain experience and hands-on expertise in Manual, Automation, API, and Database Testing. The candidate should be capable of independently handling testing activities, identifying defects, and working closely with development, business, and QA teams.

Key responsibilities include designing test scenarios, executing tests, performing API and database validation, and ensuring timely delivery with adequate coverage.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of testing experience, preferably in Banking.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC and defect lifecycle.
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation and reconciliation.
• Experience with API testing using Postman/REST Assured.
• Hands-on with automation testing and test case design.

Responsibilities

• Perform Functional, SIT, UAT, Regression, Integration, and End-to-End Testing.
• Understand banking requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Execute manual and automated tests and analyze results.
• Perform API testing and backend/database validation.
• Write SQL queries for data validation and reconciliation.
• Identify, report, track, and retest defects.
• Participate in defect triage and coordinate with Development/BA teams.
• Support test planning, estimation, execution, and status reporting.
• Ensure test coverage and timely delivery.

• Perform Functional, SIT, UAT, Regression, Integration, and End-to-End Testing.
• Understand banking requirements and prepare effective test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Execute manual and automated tests and analyze results.
• Perform API testing and backend/database validation.
• Write SQL queries for data validation and reconciliation.
• Identify, report, track, and retest defects.
• Participate in defect triage and coordinate with Development/BA teams.

Mandatory Skills

• Banking Domain Knowledge Payments, Deposits, Interest, Customer/Account Management, Transactions, etc.
• Manual Testing – Functional, Integration, Regression, SIT/UAT, E2E.
• Automation Testing – Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks.
• API Testing – Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent; REST, JSON/XML, HTTP methods and response validation.
• Test Case Design – Positive, negative, boundary, integration, and end-to-end scenarios.
• SQL/Database Testing – Queries, data validation, and reconciliation.
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Defect Life Cycle.

Good to Have

• JMeter – Basic knowledge of performance/load testing.
• Application Security – Basic understanding of vulnerabilities

Candidate Profile

• 3–5 years of relevant testing experience, preferably in the Banking domain.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple testing activities.
• Good understanding of business requirements and testing processes.

Location & Mobility

Candidates must be willing to work onsite at client/project locations anywhere across India and relocate as required. Candidates unwilling to work onsite or relocate within India need not apply.
