Job summary

Vilas Business Solutions is seeking a Software Requirements Engineer with 8–12 years of experience in Pune, India. The role involves eliciting and defining software requirements across software, hardware, and mechanical domains for automotive projects.

Candidates should have a strong system perspective, good communication, and exposure to requirements management tools. ASPICE awareness and MBSE principles are desirable; prior experience in automotive domains is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Requirement analysis, elicitation, and generation from customer specifications for products under scope.
• Capture requirements at all levels of system - software, hardware and mechanical engineering disciplines.
• Usage of tools, automation of tasks (Eg scripting) for requirement management.
• Responsible for requirement traceability and coverage
• Effectively collaborate and communicate with internal/external stakeholders and customers.
• Organizes and participates in customer meetings, requirement review and system architecture review.
• Support process compliance and adhere to the process guidelines (in the context of automobile industry ASPICE).
• Understand and relate global standards and guidelines in auto industry at workplace.

Job description

Designation: Software Requirements Engineer

Experience: 8 to 12 years

Eligibility

• Master/Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics/Automotive Embedded Systems and Software Domain.

Must have Skills.

• Good system perspective with must have experience in Software and knowhow on Hardware and electro-mechanical engineering experience.
• Strong verbal/written communication skills.

Nice to have.

• Prior hands-on experience in requirement engineering - in any of Automotive/ Aerospace domains.
• Experience in requirement analysis, elicitation and management, technical documentation.
• Good to have Hands on Experience in Embedded Systems, AUTOSAR, Embedded C Environments.
• Hands on with requirement management tool (Cradle, Cameo, DOORS, etc.), writing scripts (Eg DXL).
• Knowledge of model-based systems engineering, requirement modeling, SysML.
• Experience/knowledge of ASPICE, Functional Safety ISO 26262.
• Knowledge of Software Safety Assessment, writing of software safety / security requirements.
