Job summary

V3 Staffing is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to own and grow a 20-30 engineer product team within a fast-scaling Global Capability Center for a leading US healthcare technology company. This is a hands-on leadership role that shapes what gets built, not just executing a handed-down roadmap.

You will partner with Product, drive cloud-native architecture and microservices, and lead AI-assisted practices across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering with 6+ years in engineering management
• Proven experience leading a team of 20+ engineers directly
• Deep production depth on AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with microservices, distributed systems, and modern CI/CD practices
• Demonstrated use of AI tools to drive engineering productivity
• Experience scaling engineering teams from the ground up

• Partner closely with Product to define what gets built, not just how it gets delivered
• Drive architecture decisions and technical strategy for cloud-native, microservices-based systems in production
• Lead adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor) across the SDLC
• Operate in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment and make sound technical calls with incomplete information
• Own hiring, performance management, and career development for your team

What we're looking for:

• 12+ years in software engineering, with 6+ years in engineering management
• Proven experience owning a team of 20+ engineers directly
• Deep, hands-on experience running production systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP — cloud platform is flexible, but real production depth is not
• Experience with microservices, distributed systems, and modern CI/CD practices
• Demonstrated use of AI tools (Copilot, Claude, or similar) to drive engineering productivity
• Experience building/scaling engineering teams from the ground up is a strong plus
• Healthcare or regulated-industry experience is a plus but not required — we care more about production ownership and technical judgment than domain background
