Job description

Position Summary

This role involves designing and developing embedded systems with a focus on Bluetooth and multimedia technologies. The candidate will work on multi-threaded systems, Linux frameworks, and Bluetooth protocols, contributing to the development of innovative connected home devices at Walmart Global Tech.

What You'll Do

• Design and architect object-oriented embedded systems.
• Develop and debug multi-threaded systems.
• Utilize Linux Framework and Bluetooth service/stack expertise.
• Work with SOC system development, including MTK/Novatek.
• Ensure interoperability across devices based on Bluetooth, HDMI, and CEC standards.
• Analyze and resolve complex system issues.
• Develop Bluetooth hardware and software layers, with in-depth knowledge of Bluetooth BR/EDR and BLE protocols.

What You'll Bring

• Proficiency in C, C++11, Python, Shell scripting.
• Experience with Linux, API and systems design.
• Knowledge of Bluetooth Linux Host, BlueZ, audio codecs, multimedia, voice assistants, HID devices, and game controllers.
• Experience in Bluetooth stack development, qualification, and system bring-up.
• Understanding of display technologies, wireless standards like WiFi, HDMI/CEC systems, and media streaming.

Minimum Qualifications

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in a related field with 3 years of experience in software engineering.

Option 2: 5 years of relevant experience in software engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications such as Security+, GISF, CISSP, CCSP, GSEC, or a master's degree with experience leading security projects. Cisco certifications are also valued.
