Job summary

Sandisk is seeking a DevOps-focused Senior Software Engineer to join the Software Development Engineering (Apps) team in Bengaluru. You will own CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and build tools that streamline deployment and improve reliability.

You will administer Atlassian Jira Cloud and integrate tooling across development workflows. The role requires 5+ years of DevOps experience, strong scripting skills, and proficiency with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven 5+ years as a DevOps Engineer with strong development experience.
• Experience with Atlassian Jira Cloud Administration, CI/CD tools, and version control.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Programming and scripting: Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes; orchestration experience.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform and Ansible.
• Application administration for Jira and Confluence Cloud; knowledge of Jira workflows and permissions.
• Security practices and governance awareness; ability to implement scalable delivery pipelines.

Job Description

We’re looking for aDevOps-focused Software Engineerto join our team and help build and maintain the systems that support our development and deployment processes. This role involves working on CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and contributing to tools and systems that improve the speed, reliability, and security of our software delivery.The engineer will also support and administration for our Atlassian Jira Cloudplatform and related tasks.

You’ll collaborate with other engineers to implement scalable solutions, integrate tools, and write clean, maintainable code that supports deployment workflows and infrastructure as code. Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support fast, safe, and automated deployments.

Contribute to infrastructure automation and cloud environment management.

• Experience: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer for 5+ years, with strong development experience

Technical Skills:AtlassianJira Cloud Administration, exposure to CI/CD and version control tools (GitHub, GitHubActions, git), cloud platforms (AWS), configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).

• Programming and Scripting: Strong experience with programming and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Containerization: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.

Infrastructure as Code: Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible.

Application Administration:Experience administering enterprise applications, AtlassianJira Cloud, including workflows, permissions, automation, user management, and integrations. Experience with Confluence Cloud and Atlassian Marketplace apps is a plus.

• Process: Implement branching strategies and code review processes to enhance code quality and collaboration.
• Monitoring and Logging: Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or Splunk.
• System and networking: Familiarity with system administration tasks, including managing Linux and Windows servers, configuring network services, and ensuring system security and performance optimization.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in cloud platforms, DevOps tools, or related technologies are a plus.
• Security Compliance: Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements.
