Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb Hyderabad is seeking a Senior SAP Finance Specialist to drive end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations across GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting and Banking, with strong cross‑module integration to MM, SD and CO in a SOX/GxP environment.

You will own full SDLC delivery, push automation using AI, and partner with global IT and business teams in a hybrid work setting to deliver scalable finance technology and continuous improvement.

The SAP Finance position plays a key role in delivering end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions, in areas of GL/AA/AP/AR/Bank, including integration with other areas such as Order to Cash, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and should have good understanding of working in a SOX and GxP environment.

Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable of SAP Finance solutions.

Collaboration with Business, IT, and external stakeholders is critical for standardisation and compliance.

AI-enabled capabilities such as invoice automation, predictive analytics, and anomaly detection are leveraged.

Gen-AI tools are used for documentation, testing, and improving operational efficiency.

The role supports full SDLC activities from requirements through post-go-live support.

Experience delivering full lifecycle projects for 8-11 years in S/4 HANA in the areas of Finance including integration with other areas such as Materials Management, Manufacturing, Sales & Costing.

Had experience working in a Global Environment who understands Global Process, Template Roll-out, SAP instances, Stakeholder Management, Cross-Functional.

What You’ll Be Doing

Shape the Future of Finance Technology | SAP S/4HANA Finance Specialist

Design and implement world-class SAP S/4 HANA solutions across General Ledger Accounting, Asset Accounting, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables and Banking including the DME Engine & Operational Accounting Processes.

Own full end-to-end SDLC delivery — from design and build through testing, deployment, and ongoing support.

Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to improve costing accuracy, close efficiency, reporting transparency, and operational controls.

Strong hands-on experience in SAP FI sub-modules, including General Ledger Accounting, Asset Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & Banking.

Extensive experience in executing and supporting Finance Period-End activities, including planning, monitoring, and issue resolution.

Powering Invoice-to-Pay & Cash Management Manage the complete invoice lifecycle — processing, validation, payment execution, and vendor reconciliation Oversee AR processes including billing integration, cash application, dispute resolution, and reconciliations.

Banking & Treasury Lead efficient payment processing and bank integrations, ensuring compliance with treasury and financial regulations.

Connecting the Dots Drive seamless integration across O2C, P2P, Supply Chain, and external systems Bridge SAP Finance with MM, SD, PP and CO to enable truly end-to-end business processes.

Driving Cloud & AI Transformation Leverage AI and intelligent automation to enhance SAP Finance processes by improving month end closure time using automation and/or process improvements for period-end close decisions. Use GenAI tools to accelerate documentation, test automation, and root cause analysis.

Keeping Us Compliant Ensure strong financial controls and audit readiness in line with SOX and GxP requirements.

Collaborating & Innovating Partner with global business and IT stakeholders to drive process optimisation and continuous improvement Build strong relationships across teams, lead with curiosity, and champion a culture of learning and innovation.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's a plus)
• 8–11 years of SAP S/4HANA experience with at least 2–3 full-cycle Finance implementations
• Deep expertise in SAP’s SAP S4 HANA Finance functionality
• Cross-module integration experience across MM, SD, PP and CO
• Basic ABAP debugging skills and technical integrations
• Proven experience in SOX and/or GxP regulated environments
• A collaborative, global mindset with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• A passion for continuous learning, AI adoption, and process innovation

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience with SAP RISE / cloud migration initiatives
• Exposure to AI, intelligent automation, or GenAI in a delivery context
