The SAP Costing position plays a key role in delivering end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Costing solutions in the cost accounting, Inventory management, and product costing areas, and should have good understanding of working in a SOX and GxP environment. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable of SAP Product costing solutions.

Collaboration with Business, IT, and external stakeholders is critical for standardisation and compliance. AI-enabled capabilities such as invoice automation, predictive analytics, and anomaly detection are leveraged. Gen-AI tools are used for documentation, testing, and improving operational efficiency. The role supports full SDLC activities from requirements through post-go-live support. Continuous improvement, innovation, and adoption of emerging technologies are key expectations. Experience delivering full lifecycle projects for 5-7 years in S/4 HANA in the areas of Costing including integration with other areas such as Materials Management, Manufacturing, Sales & Distribution, & Finance. Had experience working in a Global Environment who understands Global Process, Template Roll-out, SAP instances, Stakeholder Management, Cross-Functional.

What You'll Be Doing

Delivering Smart Costing Solutions

• Design and implement world-class SAP S/4HANA solutions across Product Costing, Inventory Accounting and Operational Accounting Processes.
• Own full end-to-end SDLC delivery — from design and build through testing, deployment, and ongoing support
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to improve costing accuracy, close efficiency, reporting transparency, and operational controls.
• Strong hands‑on experience in SAP CO sub‑modules, including Cost Element Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Product Costing, Material Ledger, and Actual Costing.
• Extensive experience in executing and supporting Costing Period-End activities, including planning, monitoring, and issue resolution.
• In‑depth knowledge of Co‑Product and By‑Product manufacturing processes, with expertise in cost allocation, cost distribution, and settlement mechanisms.
• Strong understanding of Internal Subcontracting and External Subcontracting business processes.
• Good understanding of Material Movement types.
• Proven ability to analyze and resolve complex costing issues, ensuring accurate product costing and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of Material Ledger processes, including actual cost calculation, inventory valuation, and cost roll‑up activities.
• Enable accurate material valuation, inventory accounting, and cost of goods sold processes through strong integration between SAP CO, FI, MM, PP, and inventory management.
• Drive costing period‑end processes including overhead calculation, variance calculation, work‑in‑process, settlement, inventory close, and reconciliation with finance reporting.

Connecting the Dots

• Drive seamless integration across Supply Chain, manufacturing, inventory, and external systems by embedding SAP costing requirements into end-to-end business processes, ensuring accurate cost capture from procurement, production, inventory movements, sales transactions, intercompany flows, and financial close activities.
• Bridge SAP CO with Finance, MM, and SD to enable truly end-to-end business processes.

Driving Cloud & AI Transformation

• Leverage AI and intelligent automation to enhance SAP costing processes by improving cost estimate accuracy, accelerating variance analysis, automating repetitive reconciliation activities, identifying costing anomalies, and enabling data‑driven insights for inventory valuation, product costing, and period‑end close decisions.
• Use GenAI tools to accelerate documentation, test automation, and root cause analysis.

Keeping Us Compliant

• Ensure costing solution comply with SOX, GxP, Audit and internal control requirements through proper documentation, testing, approvals, and traceability.

Collaborating & Innovating

• Partner with global business and IT stakeholders to drive process optimisation and continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships across teams, lead with curiosity, and champion a culture of learning and innovation.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's a plus)
• 5–7 years of SAP S/4HANA experience with at least 1–2 full‑cycle Controlling implementations
• Deep expertise in SAP’s SAP S4 HANA Cost and Controlling functionality
• Cross‑module integration experience across FI, IM, Manufacturing, PP, QM,MM, and SD
• Basic ABAP debugging skills and technical integrations
• Proven experience in SOX and/or GxP regulated environments
• A collaborative, global mindset with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• A passion for continuous learning, AI adoption, and process innovation

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience with SAP RISE / cloud migration initiatives
• Exposure to AI, intelligent automation, or GenAI in a delivery context
• Background in the pharmaceutical industry
• Knowledge of BW or SAP Consolidation solutions (Group Reporting)
