FactSet is seeking a software engineer for our Mergers & Acquisitions Data Solutions Engineering team in Hyderabad. You will build robust data pipelines and tools using Python, AWS, and in-house libraries to deliver high-quality M&A data to financial professionals.

The role involves working in a hybrid setup, participating in an agile team, and delivering scalable services with a focus on automation and efficiency across teams.

Formación

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science.
• 4-6 years of overall industry experience.
• 3-4 years of experience in Python.
• Experience with AWS cloud and CI / CD (Github Actions), Redis and Pytest.
• Relational database experience, preferably PostgreSQL, MSSQL.
• Experience building and deploying production-level services.
• Nice to have GenAI concepts like RAG, AI integration, MCP, etc.

We are responsible for building and maintaining the robust data pipelines, tools, and systems that power FactSet's M&A content covering deals, transactions, valuations, and market intelligence across global markets. This team is responsible to build data pipeline and tools by leveraging Python, proprietary in-house libraries, and AWS technologies. What You'll Do

• Deliver high-quality, reusable and maintainable code, perform Unit / Integration Testing of assigned tasks within the estimated timelines.
• Proactive in providing technical solutions with effective communication & collaboration skills.
• Perform Code Reviews and ensure best practices are followed.
• Work in an agile team environment and collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth product delivery.
• Ownership of end-end product & Individual contribution.
• Performance Improvements with the help of metrics provided by automatic monitoring of the product.
• Ensure high stability of the product.
• Continuous Knowledge sharing internal & external of the team.
• Collaborate with other engineers and Product Developers in a Scrum Agile environment using Jira and Confluence
• Estimate task sizes and regularly communicate progress in daily standups and biweekly Scrum meetings

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science.
• 4-6 years of overall industry experience.
• 3-4 years of experience in Python.
• Strong experience and proficiency with Python, Pandas, and FastAPI.
• Strong experience with Javascript ES6+ , Typescript ,Vue 3,Pinia and Css3
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong experience with API design and Test Driven Development
• Experience with AWS cloud and CI / CD (Github Actions) , Redis and Pytest
• Relational database experience, preferably with POSTGRES, MSSQL.
• Experience with Github-based development processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized, self-directed, and resourceful with the ability to appropriately prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience building and deploying production-level services.
• Nice to have with GenAI concepts like RAG ,AI integration ,MCP,Spec driven development and Agentic workflows / AI agents / agent orchestration.

Desired Skills

• Work experience of Jupyter Notebooks.
• Infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Familiar with Agile software development (Scrum is a plus).
• Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.
