Job summary

NeST Digital in Bengaluru is seeking a seasoned QA professional to assure quality and reliability of medical device software. You will design, execute test plans, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, high-quality products.

The role requires 7–8 years in software quality assurance for medical devices, strong STLC knowledge, and experience with test automation and regulatory considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT engineering is the minimum required qualification.
• Prior experience in the healthcare domain is mandatory.
• At least 7-8 years of overall experience in software quality assurance, including testing medical device products.
• Strong knowledge of test management, test planning and execution, along with testing methodologies and tools.

• Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), testing methodologies, and QA processes.
• Self-motivated and quality-focused, with the ability to analyze complex scenarios and design effective test cases aligned with quality objectives.
• Execute both manual and automated tests to validate the functionality, performance, and security of software applications.
• Proficient in core testing activities, including test planning and strategy, test case design, execution, defect logging, and verification in Agile teams.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, and work with development teams to prioritize and resolve them.
• Drive CCB meetings and defect triages to ensure timely prioritization, resolution, and closure of defects.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage

• Experience in handling C class type medical devices is an added advantage.
• Test automation experience across various client software platforms is desirable.
• Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, Microsoft certifications, or similar will be considered a plus.
• Familiarity with DICOM/PACS is an added advantage.
