UnitedHealth Group, through Optum, is seeking a senior technical leader to steer architecture for large-scale platforms in a cloud-first environment in India. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and operations to align strategic objectives with technical roadmaps.

Your role includes mentoring engineers, improving reliability, and driving automation, observability, and modernization across multiple teams.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise software and distributed systems.
• 6+ years designing, developing, and supporting enterprise software applications.
• 6+ years strong programming skills in Java, GoLang, Python, C# etc.
• 4+ years building solutions on public cloud platforms and containerization with Docker/Kubernetes.

• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for complex, enterprise-scale platforms and services.
• Drive design, development, and delivery of scalable, secure software solutions.
• Partner with product, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into technical roadmaps.
• Establish engineering standards, best practices, and governance frameworks to improve quality and reliability.
• Lead evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies, architecture patterns, and engineering practices.
• Mentor senior engineers and development teams, fostering technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
• Champion operational excellence through automation, observability, reliability engineering, and continuous improvement.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks while balancing short-term delivery with long-term platform sustainability.
• Drive platform modernization initiatives and support adoption across teams and business areas.
• Contribute to strategic planning, technical decision-making, and cross-functional leadership initiatives.
• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions using no-code, low-code, and advanced platforms.

Primary Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years of experience
• 6+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise software applications and distributed systems
• 6+ years of experience strong programming skills in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, GoLang, Python, C# etc.
• 4+ years of experience building solutions on public cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• 4+ years of experience of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• 4+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control, testing frameworks, and automation practices
