Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks an experienced software engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications and distributed systems across cloud platforms. You will build CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and enhance observability while ensuring security and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience.
• 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise software applications and distributed systems.
• 4+ years of experience strong programming skills in one or more modern programming languages such as Java, GoLang, Python, C# etc.
• 4+ years of experience building solutions on public cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• 2+ years of experience of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• 2+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control, testing frameworks, and automation practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable software applications, platforms, and services.
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions, contributing to the evolution of platform capabilities and engineering standards.
• Build and maintain cloud-native solutions with a focus on reliability, security, performance, and operational excellence.
• Develop automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code solutions to improve engineering efficiency and platform stability.
• Implement monitoring, logging, observability, and operational tooling to support production workloads.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, security, infrastructure, and operations to deliver business outcomes.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure software solutions adhere to established security, compliance, and governance requirements.
• Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and engineering best practices.
• Support platform scalability and modernization initiatives through continuous innovation and process improvement.
• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions using no-code, low-code, and advanced platforms, translating business needs into scalable applications that enhance products, workflows, and decision-making
