Guidewire Bengaluru is seeking an experienced software engineer to build and operate a cloud-native Integration Gateway platform. You will work on backend services, microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs, with exposure to front-end tools and UI components as needed.

The role demands 8–12 years in software engineering, strong Java and Spring Boot skills, and hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, DynamoDB, and messaging systems.

Qualificações

• 8–12 years of experience in software engineering.
• Excellent programming skills in Java with OOD principles.
• Strong Spring Boot and microservices experience, RESTful APIs design.
• Front-end exposure with React.js or modern frameworks is a plus.
• Solid data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization.
• Kubernetes & Docker knowledge for production workloads.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and NoSQL stores like DynamoDB.
• Messaging/streaming experience (Kafka, SQS, S3) is a plus.
• Familiarity with integration frameworks (Camel) is a plus.

Summary

Are you passionate about building multi-tenant, cloud-native platforms? Do you have expertise in modern Java, microservices architecture, integration technologies, and frontend frameworks? Come join our team that is building Integration Gateway, Guidewire's cloud-native integration platform. You will work in a highly collaborative environment, working on features, enhancements, and bug fixes to the platform that Guidewire customers use to connect their cloud systems.

Job Description

• 8–12 years of experience in software engineering, building and operating backend services or platforms at scale.
• Excellent programming skills in Java, with strong proficiency in object-oriented design and clean coding principles.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Spring Boot and microservices architectures, including designing RESTful APIs and integrating with downstream services.
• Experience with React.js or modern front‑end frameworks is a plus, especially for building or integrating with internal tools and UIs.
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization, with practical experience tuning services under real‑world load.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker for containerised workloads and orchestration in production environments.
• Experience working with a major public cloud provider (AWS preferred), including core services for compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Experience with AWS DynamoDB or similar NoSQL data stores for building scalable, low-latency data access layers.
• Familiarity with messaging and streaming technologies such as AWS SQS, Amazon S3, and Kafka (or equivalents) for building resilient, event‑driven systems.
• Experience with Apache Camel or similar integration frameworks is a plus.

Architecture & Distributed Systems

Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts, including consistency and availability trade‑offs, durability, reliability, fault‑tolerance, and consensus patterns. Ability to design for observability, implementing logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting to support reliable operations.
