Job summary

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design robust Java-based solutions using Core Java and Spring across microservices.
• Develop REST and SOAP web services with reliable data exchange.
• Implement asynchronous messaging with Kafka, JMS, or MQ and ensure scalable event-driven flows.
• Deploy applications on Tomcat or similar servers and monitor performance.
• Adopt Agile/Scrum practices; participate in sprint planning and reviews.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable code and perform unit testing.
• Collaborate with security peers to follow best practices and tune performance.
• Foster effective communication with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Gain exposure to Docker and Kubernetes; leverage cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Contribute to architecture decisions for distributed systems and microservices.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Java

You’ll make a difference by:

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and design skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder interaction skills
• Deep hands-on experience with Core Java
• Strong expertise in Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Core)
• Experience in JDBC Java database
• Proven experience with REST and SOAP web services
• Hands-on experience with asynchronous messaging systems (Kafka, JMS, MQ, etc.)
• Experience deploying applications on Apache Tomcat or similar servers
• Solid understanding of microservices and distributed systems
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
• Experience writing clean, maintainable, and reusable code
• Desirable / Good to Have:
• Scripting experience using Shell (Bash) and/or Batch scripts
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with security best practices and performance tuning
• Deutch Language knowledge preferred
