Job summary

Siemens seeks a Lead Software Engineer - Full Stack to drive design and delivery of modern frontend and backend services from Pune. You will mentor teams, shape architecture, and own critical microservices and data pipelines.

The role emphasizes Angular + Java microservices, Kafka-based event streams, container orchestration, and cloud/infra automation. Strong communication and collaboration across global teams are essential.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement full-stack solutions with modern frontend and backend tech.
• Mentor and onboard team members; contribute to code quality and architecture.
• Develop Angular micro-frontends and Java-based microservices with unit tests.
• Build event-driven pipelines using Apache Kafka and Avro; ensure reliability.
• Containerize apps with Docker and deploy on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Implement SSO with Keycloak and manage JWT-based auth.
• Design and optimize data models with PostgreSQL; schedule tasks with Quartz.
• Observe and troubleshoot using Dynatrace, Grafana, Loki, and Prometheus.
• Ensure security, scalability, cost efficiency, reliability, and compliance.
• Drive CI/CD with GitLab and manage code versions.
• Work with AWS services (VPC, EC2, S3, ECS/EKS) and hybrid HA.
• Design infrastructure using Helm, KubeVela, and IaC with Terraform.
• Implement GitOps using ArgoCD and backup/DR with Velero.
• Monitor service mesh with Istio and Kiali.

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer - Full Stack

You’ll make a difference by:

• Technological Skills
• Strong technical acumen for software design (HLD/LLD), quality delivery, mentoring, and onboarding
• Angular micro-frontend (Nx, Angular 20+, Node 24) and Java 21+ Spring Boot 4.x async microservices with unit testing (Jest / JUnit 5 + Mockito)
• Event-driven pipelines with Apache Kafka (spring-kafka, Avro serializer 7.7.x, CloudEvents; Java preferred)
• Systematic troubleshooting and root-cause analysis beyond code-level causes (scaling, infra, data flow)
• Containerization (Docker) and deployment on managed Kubernetes/OpenShift
• SSO and user management with Keycloak (JWT)
• PostgreSQL data solutions with reliability and scheduling (Quartz 2.5.x)
• Observability with Dynatrace and/or Grafana, Loki, Prometheus
• Security, scalability, cost optimization, reliability, and regulatory compliance
• CI/CD and code versioning (GitLab preferred)
• Preferred / platform context
• AWS (VPC, ELB, EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, SQS, CloudWatch) and hybrid HA (RTO/RPO)
• Cluster and infra design (vCluster, Helm, KubeVela)
• GitOps (ArgoCD) and IaC (Terraform)
• Backup/DR (Velero, S3, RDS PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)
• Service mesh monitoring (Istio, Kiali)
• AWS Solution Architect and/or CKA certification
• Behavioral Skills
• 9-12 years of experience required
• Great communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and abstraction skills
• Collaborative, respectful team player in a globally distributed setup
