Job summary

Happiest Minds Technologies is seeking a Developer for the Cellular Core network to design, document and implement cloud-based 5G SA core network functions. You will generate schedule estimates, provide daily progress updates, and deliver tested software in a predictable manner, collaborating with the tech lead and team members.

The role requires 3-7 years of experience with Java, databases, and cloud services.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of experience in cellular/core network development
• Experience with 3GPP standards preferred
• Proficient in Java and database technologies
• Proficient in prompt engineering and GenAI for technical research/documentation
• Familiar with cloud services (GCP/AWS/Azure)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Hands-on with Docker/Kubernetes and message brokers such as RabbitMQ/Kafka

Responsibilities

Provide progress updates in a daily stand up meeting, and deliver tested software in a predictable manner. Collaborate actively with the tech lead and other team members.

Key Responsibilities

Solve Business Problems: Research solutions to solve problems and develop product

Leverage Cellular Expertise: Leverage domain expertise in Cellular networks (3GPP standards, deployment, operations) to build a cutting-edge Celluar Core SaaS product.

Create Design & Documentation Artifacts: Produce and maintain detailed technical designs, specifications, and documentation to guide both current development and future enhancements.

Implementation: Directly develop and implement network components using technologies like Java, various databases, and network analysis tools (e.g., pcap, Wireshark, tcpdump). Fulfill feature acceptance criteria.

Technical Troubleshooting: Address complex technical challenges and optimize network performance.

Adoption of New Technologies: Integrate emerging AI-powered tools and methodologies to enhance development processes.

Must have skills

Required (3-7 years)

AI-powered coding assistants and effective prompt engineering, and use GenAI for technical research and documentation.

Experience in some of the 3GPP Cellular Network Standards like below:

Familiarity with 3GPP Rel 15 and later

Cellular identifiers (ICCID, IMSI, MSISDN, IMEI) 2G/3G (SS7), 4G (Diameter), 5G SA (HTTP/2)

AAA/RADIUS, SMS, SMPP VoLTE
