Job summary

GreyOrange in Gurugram, India, is seeking a senior backend architect to own end-to-end design and architecture for multiple components. You will design, build, test, deploy features, and drive improvements across the stack, with emphasis on performance and scalability.

The role requires strong Java/Golang expertise, cloud-native development, container orchestration, and IaC. You will lead code reviews, promote DevOps practices, and align technical direction with business goals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in building scalable backend systems.
• Expertise in architecting large-scale, high-performance, fault-tolerant systems (Java/Golang).
• Proven cloud-native development, container orchestration, and infra as code.
• Experience with large-scale SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, etc).
• Strong understanding of performance, scalability, and observability.
• Solid knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Experience designing REST APIs and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines.

• End-to-end ownership of multiple components' design and architecture.
• Design, build, unit test, and deploy critical product areas and features, and improve existing features.
• Do code reviews with the team and ensure the highest quality of the codebase.
• Establish and own relevant healthy DevOps processes and practices within the team.
• Collaborate and share knowledge within the team to promote technical and self-sufficient teams.
• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
• Solve deep technical challenges at scale with innovation.
• Work closely with senior leadership to align technical direction with business goals.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience with successfully building scalable backend systems.
