Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a senior IT professional to develop features for the Data Operation Monitoring system, leveraging AI to design scalable solutions. The role requires hands-on experience with Java, Python and modern database technologies in a cloud-native environment.

You'll work with AWS-based microservices and event-driven architecture, using Docker, Terraform and OpenSearch, and apply GPT-4 and LangChain tools to optimize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree or equivalent IT experience.
• 6+ years of overall IT experience.
• 4+ years with Java, Python, automated testing and SQL/No-SQL databases.
• 3+ years AWS services, Docker, Terraform.
• Expertise in AWS-based microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with AI tooling: GPT-4, Reinforcement Learning, LangChain.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop features for the Data Operation Monitoring system and will be required to leverage AI in both building and designing solutions

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate degree or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of overall IT experience
• 4+ years Java, Python, Automated Testing (Unit Testing and Mocks a must), strong database experience No-SQL (OpenSearch, DynamoDb), SQL
• 3+ years of experience: AWS (Lambda, SNS/SQS, Event Bridge, ECS/EKS, S3, CW), Docker, Terraform
• Expertise in AWS-based microservices and eventing architecture
• Solid AI with GPT-4, Reinforcement Learning, Agentic AI, GitHub Copilot, LLM, MCP with FastMCP and FastAPI with LangChain
