DigitalOcean is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to lead development and support of scalable object storage systems in Bengaluru. You will design, develop, and operate storage platforms, working with Go and distributed systems, to ensure enterprise-grade reliability and performance for customers.

You will collaborate with peers, contribute to OSS communities, and help maintain high availability while solving large-scale storage challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in object or distributed storage systems.
• Experience with object storage: MinIO, Ceph, AWS S3, Scality or similar.
• Proficient in Go; strong systems programming and concurrency.
• Ability to design, develop, test and deploy scalable storage software.
• Collaborative, self-motivated with an agile mindset.

We are looking for an engineer who will help lead the development and support of current and future storage platforms at scale. The Storage Team supports the operations and development of object storage, block volumes, backups and image management. We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our Object Storage team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and operating the systems that power scalable, durable, and high-performance object storage for our customers. You will work closely with distributed systems, storage protocols (e.g., S3), performance tuning, and observability to ensure our platform meets enterprise-grade reliability and usability.

• Familiarity with object storage systems such as MinIO, Ceph, AWS S3, Scality, or similar.


• Cultivating your skills, learning languages, and teaming up with an agile, self-motivated group of peers to design, develop, test and deploy software in modern tools and languages such as Go.


• Sharing responsibility for maintaining the availability and performance of storage products
